We’re well into lockdown and things are still feeling as weird as ever. Regardless of how you normally live your life, one thing we do have in common is that we are all at home for the foreseeable future. We’ve been very lucky that the weather has been on our side so far and we’re all praying it keeps up throughout the remainder of spring and summer.

Throughout this tough time, we all have been having a few more guilty pleasures than normal. For most of us it’s in the form of a takeaway.  Well we wanted to flip that guilty pleasure on its head and turn it into a bit of a productive positivity as well as a bit of fun you can do with the family. So we’re going to show you a little guide on how fun and easy it is to make your very own Pizza on a Kamado Joe!

Prep

Make sure you have everything you need to make your pizza perfect. So get together your favourite toppings maybe some pepperoni, ham, onions or some peppers. Make sure you have a base sauce. Typically, it would be Tomato but its all your choice and don’t forget the cheese. Your going to need to get a pizza base, you can purchase these or for a bit more fun you can make your own.

Once you chosen/made your base your going to put one your sauce of choice followed by your choice of cheese (More the better we think!). Then evenly spread your toppings over the top. As much or as little as you like.

Top Tip – Hold back some of your cheese and then sprinkle a layer on top of the toppings. This will hold your toppings in place much more when eating.

Cooking The Pizza

Get your Kamado Joe to the regular cooking level and slide the pizza right onto the grill. You already know it won’t take long to cook, just a few minutes! Make sure the dough has gone a beautiful golden brown and the cheese is bubbling nice before taking it off.

It's time to eat!

Once you have taken the pizza off, let it stand for a few minutes to cool down as it will be extremely hot! Then slice and enjoy. Anything you were thinking of cooking in the oven you can cook it outside on the Kamado Joe and it will taste a whole lot better.

Enjoy and don’t for get to let us know on social media how it went.
