Christmas is here and its time to start decorating your tree. Although there are no clear rules below, we have put together some important things to think about when decorating your Christmas tree

• When adding a tree topper to your Christmas tree, we highly recommend checking the amount of clearance room. We recommend leaving around approximately 30cm clearance between the top of the Christmas tree topper and the ceiling

• We recommend using a mixture of decorations for your Christmas tree. Whether that be traditional baubles, decorative hanging figurines, snowflakes, icicles, or simple bows, using a mixture of decorations gives your Christmas tree a real festive feel to your space

• If your tree is still looking a little bare, or you find there are gaps in between branches, you can fill these areas with decorative sprays or foliage. Designs of decorative colourful jewelled sprays, clip-on flowers or traditional berries all accentuate each space of your tree to give it a lush full finish

• Hide unwanted wires, stands or bases with a lovely weave ring or tree skirt. Often, we forget about the bottom of our Christmas tree, however this is a great way to really finish off your look. Additionally, if you are using a real Christmas tree this year, tree skirts can be used in a way to protect your floor from any falling needles
