Rocket Gro Herb & Alpine Compost is a refined and cleverly blended natural compost mix, containing up to 15% Cornish grit. Designed for Herb, Alpine, Succulent, and Perennial plants, this compost provides the free-draining soil they need to thrive. The addition of grit to the Multi-Purpose with John Innes blend has created an ideal growing medium for these plants, proven successful through trials with dozens of plant varieties.

This compost is a carefully blended mix of certified super-fine green compost, wood chip fines, bark fines, and Cornish grit. It also includes finely screened loam (soil), a small amount of sand, and digestate fibre to enhance microbial activity and nutrient levels. The added Organic fertiliser provides a 3-month feed.

Rocket Gro Herb & Alpine Compost is suitable for Herb, Alpine, Succulent, and Perennial plants that thrive in free-draining soil.

For containers and pots: Ensure the container has sufficient drainage holes, then fill with the compost. Add your chosen plants, firm lightly, and water thoroughly.

For beds, borders, and rockeries: Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Partially fill the hole with compost, add the plant, and fill in firmly with more compost. Water thoroughly.

Water your plants regularly, using a "little and often" approach to avoid stressing them by flooding and drying out.

For optimal results, use RocketGro Plant Fuel to feed your plants at least once a week, or ideally twice a week, during the growing season.
