Chessington & Charities
Here at Chessington Garden Centre, we are proud to support an increasing number of charities, each of which is looking to help or make a huge difference to people's everyday lives. We are equally keen to help promote local charities that may not be widely known about at this time, as well as those that have a national and even international presence and appeal. From simple collection tins or promotional material about an individual charity located around the site, to charity members being on site looking for donations to their chosen cause, through to holding special events throughout the year, we are pleased to be involved and helping to make a difference.
Below you will find both information and links to just some of the charities that we have helped and worked with in the past and are looking forward to be helping in the near future, together with a few images and details of the past events that we have held in-store to help raise much needed funds and awareness.
Fund Raising Events at Chessington
Here at Chessington Garden Centre we have learnt that even the smallest of plans and events can make a difference and with a larger goal or event we can all help to make a massive difference to people's lives when they need our help the most.
DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. There are at least 5,000 people living with this devastating condition in the UK and 500,000 worldwide. DEBRA focuses it's work in two areas; the charity provides core and support to individuals and families living with EB and funds pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB.

'Make a Wish' is a national charity that exists for one reason - to grant magical wishes to children and young People fighting life- threatening conditions.
