Take a look at our Farm Shop expert recommendations for complimentary wines with selected meat

Beef

  • Try pairing beef with our Paso Doble, Organic Malbec Argentina. Masi Passo Doble gets its Argentinian qualities of generosity, strength, and exuberance from the Malbec grape, while its Corvina component gives it the style, elegance, and warmth typical of wines from the Veneto. It is made using the Apassimento technique, a double fermentation process using fresh Malbec grapes with a percentage of lightly dried Corvina grapes which brings full aromas, good structure, and soft tannins to the blend making for a quality wine with the potential for long ageing. Available from our Farm Shop for £13.49

  • The second match with beef from Argentina is The Norton Winemaker's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon infuses complex aromas of ripe red fruits and mint, with dark chocolate notes. Highly concentrated palate with a long, spicy finish. You can purchase this bottle from our Farm Shop for £15.75

Chicken

  • The Maranges 1er Cru, Beaujolais from France is great with chicken as it boasts a brilliant colour - raspberry red, or sometimes darker and tending towards purple. Its fruit-laden bouquet is of blackcurrant buds and spiced or preserved red fruits. The mouth, fresh, and tinged with liquorice, lays down a meaty foundation for peppery flavours. These wines have just enough acidity to ensure 3- or 4-years’ laying-down (more in the best years). Tannins are smooth, warm, and melting, and vinosity is intense. Available in our Farm Shop for £20.49

  • Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis from France is one of the leading producers in the region, producing a first-class example with the quintessential character of true Chablis. Notes of lemon and white peach on the nose lead onto a palate that is clean and rounded, dry and expressive. Purchase from our Farm Shop for £20.49

  • Finally, the last great match recommendation to drink alongside chicken dishes is the Mahi, Pinot Noir Marlborough from New Zealand. It boasts a deliciously full, rich and brooding dark fruits bouquet. Ripe, supple palate with great complexity and concentration of dark cherries and plum fruit, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a lovely well-rounded finish. Available from our Farm Shop for £23.75
